Converting from Lightroom to file system: folder structure

Converting from Lightroom to file system: folder structure

I would like to convert several large Lightroom catalogs to the file system for later use with Peakto and have a question about the "type of exported folder structure": I use the following folder structure in the file system (the Lightroom catalogs emulate this folder structure):
year
  year-month
next largest city
year-month-day
place/project name
There doesn't seem to be an option in Avalanche 1.7.5 to keep the existing folder structure when exporting from Lightroom to the file system. Or does "flat" mean keeping the existing folder structure, so to speak, without transferring it to another structure? For me, keeping the existing folder structure is actually the most obvious thing to do and it would raise a lot of questions for me to have to change it.
My second question relates to the "Export XMP branch file" option. Are these XMP files read in later by Peakto? Does it contain all metadata, including GPS data that was not written to the RAW photo files by the camera, but was added in Lightroom? Could Avalanche convert this export to the file system back into a Lightroom catalog without losing any information (editing, metadata with added GPS data, keywords, labels, etc.) other than the original folder structure?
