I'm curious whether it's possible to organise watched folders?

My use case: I have an external 4TB drive which I used to store all of my design and visual effects assets. The drive is sorted into various folders such as stock images, video, HDRI etc. The way I understand it I can either

1- add the entire drive as a watched folder

2- add the individual sub folder (video, images, HDRI etc) as watched folder

The problem I have with option 1 is that I have to select the drive and then the subfolder. 

The problem with the second option is that whilst this allows me direct access to the subfolders, they're scattered amongst of other watch folders that have nothing to do with my design & vfx assets. 

Any thoughts/ideas would be welcome.
