I'm just past the year for updates to Peakto on a permanent license purchased December of 2024 and I have to say I'm disappointed in the program and its licensing options. For month after month of the first year of ownership (when updates are available to permanent licensees) I would hope for an update to fix my issues with Peakto--primarily crash after crash while recognizing faces on 160000 photos. 

I feel Peakto sold me betaware and that I never got my money's worth from my permanent license. I will only consider software with permanent licenses. I'm done with subscriptions. But my advice to those considering Peakto is this: only get it if you're willing to do the subscription. This software isn't finished and CYME keeps adding features which mean nothing to me while failing to fix fundamental issues with crashing and promised capabilities. And when you're done your year of updates you're stuck with betware you can't update. You can either buy another permanent license of you can choose to subscribe, losing the advantage of the permanent license. There is no discount option for updates for permanent licencse holders.
