All the commands explained in the Source Menu.

When you CTRL+Click on a source, there are many commands, but it's sometimes hard to know when to use them.

Here you can find some details about these commands:

Open in ...

Open the catalog in your software

Show in Finder

Show the catalog’s File in finder

Relink Source...

Relink a source…

When you move your Lightroom, CaptureOne catalog, or your root folder to another location( new folder, new drive). You’ll have to relink.

Run Deep Sync

Reparse all your images, add new ones and delete olders.

For most of the catalog, it’s the only way to get all the changes made in your catalogs (change of albums, keywords, folders …).

Run Fast Sync

Run a fast sync to get all the new images and recent updates.

When you want to update your catalogs or folder. With huge folders, it  is not so “fast”.

Custom Sync

Do partial sync.

To update recent changes

Update Pending Metadata

Update the XMP and JPEG files with your annotation. Only new annotations since the last sync are updated.

It’s the command to use when you annotate some images and you want to write the annotations for other applications.

Update All Metadata

Update all your metadata.

Resend all metadata in XMP and JPEG. So you can be sure that all edits done in other software will be updated with Peakto’s annotations.

Reset Annotation to Catalog's version

Remove your annotation from Peakto.

Because Peakto’s annotations are used in priority for searching. The command is useful if you edit metadata in Lightroom or Capture One and you want to overwrite the annotations in Peakto.

Recompute All image similarities

Recompute all Instants

When it fails or crashes, you can relaunch it.

Recompute all AI And Faces Analysis

Reset and recompute everything.

Can be useful if you change your settings in Peakto or if you want to update to our latest algorithm version.

Rebuild the search index

Rebuild the index used in the computational search.

Compute Higresolution Preview

Compute High resolution preview for CaptureOne catalogs

You also have a discard command if you need to free space in Peakto’s database.

Compute Missing Thumbnails

Compute missing thumbnails and video summaries

When you have so many grey images in Peakto, you can try this command. It can solve the problem.

Compute Missing AI and Faces

Compute new AI and Faces.

If you cancel it when you ingest a source, you can complete it.

Complete Face Analysis

Complete face Analysis

Only do the AI computation if you cancel it.

Cancel Active Task

Cancel the current tasks.

Remove Sources

Remove the source.

It removes the source from Peakto. It doesn’t delete any photos, videos, or catalogs.
