How to send a C1 database when the support asks for it.

How to send a C1 database when the support asks for it.

In some situations, it is very useful to be able to access a C1 catalog when a customer encounters an issue.

This note explains how to send the C1 database if someone from the team asks for it.
First of all, a C1 database is NOT a catalog. It does not contain any images, only the metadata. So it is safe to share. And we will destroy it once the bug is fixed.

  1. Locate the C1 catalog file. This is a file with the .cocatalog extension
  2. Control+Clic or Right-clic on the file to access the Finder contextual menu
  3. Choose "Reveal Package Contents"
  4. This will open a new finder window showing the content of the package.
  5. Locate the file with the .cocatalogdb extension. This is the file you want send us.
Alternatively you can also

  1. Launch Capture One with the catalog
  2. Command Click on the Catalog name in the window bar and choose the 2nd item in the list ("Test" in the example below)

  1. This will open a new finder window showing the content of the package.
  2. Locate the file with the .cocatalogdb extension. This is the file you want send us.
