This is not a request for support, just a report on Peakto behavior. I hope it is useful to someone.
Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1 (Latest Version)
2018 MacBook Pro
Processor: 2.9 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i9
Graphics: Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB
Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB
RAM : 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Attempted Remedies:
Regenerated the previews inside C1 16.3.8.23 (Latest version)
Restarted Peakto and the machine.
Checked that the permissions for the entire C1 Session folder and contents are 777, just so there are no barriers.
Notes:
I have Peakto Search for both Lightroom and C1 installed. It makes no difference whether or not Peakto Search is running.
80% of the previews for this C1 session are blank.
Computer Thumbnail has no effect.
Developer>Analyze Available Preview results in the image attached, but no change in Peakto.
The previews are visible in the Finder.
1. If I open the C1 Session in C1 and change the settings for a single image (e.g. shift the exposure), and then Regenerate Preview in C1, whether Peakto is running or not, Peakto will show the yellow circular arrow almost immediately. Running Fast Sync will then cause the preview to appear properly in Peakto.
2. If I then Reset the image in C1, and Regenerate Preview in C1, P Peakto will NOT show the yellow circular arrow for several seconds. Running Fast Sync after it does show does nothing; the preview remains as it was in step 1.
When I turn on Auto Sync Sidecar (Full). Peakto shows the yellow circular arrow, but does not update the previews. Interestingly, the AI analysis did start right away in the Peakto Activity Window.
Choosing Sync Metadata in C1 had no visible effect in Peakto.
Quitting C1 and restarting it made the yellow circular arrow appear, and when I ran Fast Sync, previews appeared in Peakto.
After changing the C1 XMP settings to Auto Sync Sidecar (Full), newly created C1 sessions appear correctly in Peakto.
Thanks for making Peakto and updating it so often.
