I have given Peakto 1.1.0 a spin for I think it is product with potential. The navigation features are great, so is the search. I am quite happy with the performance too - I use a Mac Book Pro with an M1 Max with 32GB. Unfortunately there are some issues ...

I have a Lightroom library which has been migrated to Capture One. Both catalogs use the same originals on the same location. I expected to see at least two versions of each photo in the Lightroom library, since all photos are also in the Capture One library. But no, Peakto has separate instants for all these photos. Perhaps it is a problem that both Lightroom and Capture One use the same file? But overlap with the Apple Photos library is not picked up either. In the Apple Photo library it doesn't notice the versions of the same photo in the Capture One catalog, but it does combine photos in the same Instant which are in fact different. Exported JPEG images are not detected as being versions of the original either. So what is?

Opening a file in Capture One with "Edit in Capture One" takes way too long, Capture One is unresponsive and busy for several minutes before finally opening the requested image. That is not workable.

So if these issues are fixed it could be a powerful tool.
